The Check Ride course can only be undertaken at least 28 days minimum after passing the Pre Learner course.
The check ride is designed to reinforce safe riding skills and behaviours which you are taught in the two-day pre-learner course and must be passed before you can undertake the pre-provisional motorcycle test.
It is your responsibility to ensure your licence is current before attending the course, if it will expire, you need to renew your licence with Service Tas and pass the Knowledge Test.

This one hour session is designed for; those who have little or no experience with motor cycles (or do not drive a manual car) to build confidence; those who require further training one on one as deemed by an instructor.

A two-day (consecutive) training and mentoring course introducing novice riders to critical aspects of riding including off-road sessions on basic riding skills, motorcycle operation, road-craft tactics, riding gear, motorcycle knowledge, manoeuvring skills, steering and cornering, emergency braking, safe riding strategies and an on-road assessment.
Participants must have completed the current MOTOR CYCLE Road Rules Knowledge Test prior to booking for the course.

You can undergo the Pre-Provisional test once you have held your Learner’s Licence for a minimum of six months and minimum of 28 days after you have also successfully completed your Check Ride.
The pre-provisional motorcycle test is an off-road and on-road assessment to ensure motorcycle learners have developed and can demonstrate the safe riding skills, bike controls and behaviours required to obtain a P1 motorcycle licence.
It is your responsibility to ensure your licence is current before attending.
