Is a mandatory half-day course that includes an off-road review of braking, steering and low speed manoeuvring skills, and an on-road coaching ride on a pre-determined route which will include multi-lane highways, narrow country roads, shopping centres, and hills and bends. 

1. Participants must have completed the Pre Learner course prior to registering for this course

2. Participants must successfully complete this course and wait minimum 28 days before undertaking their Pre-Provisional Licence test BUT not before the 'earliest test date' shown on their Licence.

Safety:  You must have ‘full skin coverage” ie long pants, long sleeve shirt or jacket and sturdy shoes or boots, or you cannot participate in your course. Trousers/Jeans with holes are not permitted - you will be turned away.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN HELMETS***  & GLOVES & ANY OTHER PPE EQUIPMENT (IF WET) TO MINIMISE THE RISK OF VIRAL INFECTIONS.

Please bring your own water bottle and pen etc  for hygiene purposes.

** All participants must wear an approved helmet which must be marked to show that it complies with the Australian Standard AS1698 or AS/NZS 1698 or EU standards (UNECE22.05 or 22.06) in accordance with the Tasmanian Road Rules. 

All helmets must bear a label, or similar approval mark, indicating the helmet was made in compliance with a standard mentioned above and is in good repair and proper working order and condition.

Please note that the course will proceed regardless of weather. Trainer discretion will apply in Winter.

If your licence will expire before your course date - it is your responsibility to renew with Service Tas. 

If you arrive at the course with an expired licence you will be turned away, and have to rebook and pay fees again.

Fees must be paid at time of Registration unless approved otherwise by AJL Training

If you wish to use your own Motorcycle; you must bring proof of registration and 3rd Party Property insurance (in addition to CTP on vehicle registration) on the day.  Your motor cycle must be registered as LAMS approved - check your Registration papers to ensure this is so before the day. It MUST be roadworthy and at least 1/2 tank of fuel for the assessment.
